Medical Negligence

In our Medical Negligence practice, we defend physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, professional corporations, hospitals, clinics, laboratories and ambulance companies. Our experience extends to virtually every medical specialty. The firm has attorneys with significant experience in healthcare law. The cases we have defended include substantial claims involving brain-damaged infants and fetal demise due to alleged inadequate fetal monitoring, traumatic deliveries and alleged failure to perform a timely cesarean section. Other significant matters involve wrongful death claims and catastrophic injury due to alleged inadequate work-ups, diagnostic testing, surgical complications, failures to diagnose cancer and improper radiologic interpretation. Our defense of psychologists and psychiatrists has included prescription drug issues, suicide, and sexual assault.

We defend cases in managed health care for all types of providers and peer review organizations and provide compliance monitoring and opinions for such clients. We frequently serve as guest lecturers to physicians, risk managers and claims analysts in the professional liability area on a variety of topics, including defensive practice, deposition and trial presentation, federal privacy regulations, and case-specific defense.
